the trattoria
'La Costa' is a trattoria with a long history. It was opened at the beginning of the 1900s by the Nessi family just outside the town of Como where there were many small factories with people who could would appreciate good food.
Located along the Bassone ridge, it is more than a family business. The trattoria was renovated in 1997 by the celebrated Genazzini Pierluigi, Giuliana Delle Valle and their respective children Ivan and Betta. Genazzini Pierluigi is well known for his work at another Como restaurant; Silenzio.
La Costa has kept its traditional Lombard cuisine appeal, with its warm inviting dining areas.
There is a vast offer of local wines to be sampled – by the bottle or glass - to accompany any of the dishes on the menu.
